I've spent + years building and leading software teams where "pretty close" doesn't cut it - regulated medical devices, embedded systems, mobile apps, and cloud platforms all have to work exactly right. These days that mostly means leading the engineering behind FDA-cleared products, but I still like getting hands-on with the problems that matter.
